The mission of Pioneer Valley Roller Derby is to be an accessible, inclusive community of people who play and support roller derby and other roller skating activities. On our founding in 2006, we were the first flat track roller derby league to offer both women’s and men’s teams, and in 2014 we became the first league to offer a team explicitly for people of all/no genders.
We have historically had two women’s teams, a men’s team, an all/no-gender team, a team of officials, and a juniors program for teens. We are proud to be a community of people of many genders, sexualities, ages, races, abilities, and backgrounds. We are also proud to support our wider community, with a long history of partnership with and support of other local nonprofits.
